Welcome to Vogue Open Casting, a global model-search that will find, encourage, and support a new generation of models that embody a modern ideal of beauty. From April 19 to May 8, femme-identifying individuals 18-and-older from all over the world, can access the Open Casting Portal on Vogue.com. There, they will be able to submit photographs and a short video, as well as answer a questionnaire to highlight their personality. Applicants do not need to be signed to an agency, and there is no entry fee.
“Some of Vogue’s favorite models were discovered in the most surprising of ways: Kate Moss at JFK airport, Naomi Campbell window-shopping in Covent Garden,” Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer, Condé Nast, and Global Editorial Director, Vogue, said in a press release. “Open Casting is an initiative that will foster the next generation of Vogue talent, with particular attention to the need for more diverse and inclusive representation in fashion. We can’t wait to meet them.”
