A West Australian teenager has died from Covid-19 overnight as the state’s health authorities report another 6085 cases.
There are currently 239 people in hospital and eight of those are in ICU.
A WA Health spokesman said a teenager died in the latest reporting cycle to 8pm last night.
Two other deaths dating back to April 14 – a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s – were also included in the latest figures.
Premier Mark McGowan significantly eased restrictions across the state at the end of March.
Indoor gatherings are still limited to a total of 30 people, including household members, while outdoor gatherings can only have 200 people.
Mask mandates for people aged 8 and older are still continuing.
Mr McGowan’s child was hospitalised with Covid-19 earlier this week but he confirmed the child had since been discharged.
There are currently 44,985 active Covid-19 cases across Western Australia.
