West Ham are targeting a move for Everton’s £60million-rated striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports.

The Hammers are chasing fourth spot in the Premier League after narrowly missing out on qualifying for Champions League football last season.

David Moyes is looking to bolster his options up front, with Michail Antonio the only senior recognised striker in his squad.

The Sun report that Moyes is ready to ‘push the boat out’ for Calvert-Lewin, but Everton’s current valuation is too high for the club.

If the Toffees drop their price in January, or the summer transfer window, West Ham will be ‘pushing to the head of the queue’ for the England international.

Calvert-Lewin, who has missed large portions of the season with injuries, has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.

But the Gunners appear to be focusing their striker search on Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, and have reportedly submitted an offer of £50m plus Lucas Torreira for the 21-year-old.

However, Arsenal are yet to receive a response from Vlahovic’s representatives, while the Serbia international is said to be holding out for a move to Manchester City.

Gunners legend Lee Dixon thinks Calvert-Lewin would be a good fit for his former club.

‘Would I like to see Calvert-Lewin at Arsenal? I think yes. I think you’d struggle to get one of the top, top strikers like [Erling] Haaland,’ Dixon told MailOnline.

‘It would be a step up for Calvert-Lewin, no disrespect to Everton.

‘I like him, I think he’s got potential to be as good as he wants to be. He is fit and athletic, he is strong and good in the air and a good finisher. I would take him.’
