How did Joe Fournier make his money?

After initially being forced to retire from boxing with a scaphoid injury, Fournier set up his own gym business.

As the company grew, he gained recognition as a personal trainer and started to work with a number of celebrity clients.

Fournier then sold the business and its studios to a FTSE 100 company in 2012.

The money he made from the sale was reinvested into nightclubs, opening a number of well known venues such as Whisky Mist, The Rose Club, Bonbonniere London, Streaky Gin and, most recently, Bonbonniere Mikonos.

What is Joe Fournier’s boxing record?

In 2015, Fournier signed a professional contract with Hayemaker Promotions.

His first fight saw him take on Jorge Burgos in a light heavyweight division clash in the Dominican Republic.

Victory over Wilmer Mejia in December 2017 with a knockout in the eighth round saw him pick up the WBA international light heavyweight belt.

One of the other highlights from his time in the ring was appearing on the undercard of David Haye vs Arnold Gjergjaj in May 2016, beating Bela Juhasz at the O2 Arena inside two rounds.

His professional boxing career has seen him go unbeaten across all ten of his bouts – with nine coming via a TKO.

However, he did lose to close friend and former world champion Haye in an exhibition fight via unanimous decision in September 2021.
