Can you believe it’s been almost two decades since RV was released in theatres?! The movie followed Bob Munro (the late Robin Williams) and his dysfunctional family as they rent out an RV for a road trip from Los Angeles to the Colorado Rockies, where they meet a bizarre community of campers.
Josh went on to star in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise as Peeta Mellark, and has since starred in a handful of other movies such as Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Red Dawn, The Kids Are Alright and Big Hero 6.
After Robin died on August 11, 2014, the Hunger Games actor told Entertainment Weekly in 2020 about his experience on the set of RV with the Mrs. Doubtfire actor. “He was like the sweetest, funniest, caring guy. He couldn’t help himself but to make people laugh. He treated everyone with so much respect and he treated me like family.”
JoJo, who played Robin’s daughter in RV, also spoke highly of the late actor in an October 2016 interview with People Magazine. “His intelligence, his worldliness and his work ethic are what really touched me — and his ability to care for people of all walks of life was just very inspiring,” the singer said.
She continued, “The way that he made everybody feel special and the way that he showed up and gave 110 percent every single time: I want to be like that. I want to leave that type of impression on people.”
JoJo, who was already a 13-year-old pop star when she starred in RV, returned to her music career in May 2020 with the album Good to Know after a seven-year-lawsuit with her former music label. She also had guest appearances on several television shows such as The Bernie Mac Show, American, Hawaii Five-0 and Lethal Weapon. Other films JoJo has appeared in include the Lifetime Television film True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet and G.B.F.
