The MCU’s latest superhero has finally arrived, as the charming and enthusiastic Iman Vellani makes her debut as Kamala Khan in Ms Marvel.

The release date for the show is today, introducing viewers across the world to a lead character imbued with powers who will charm their socks off, and a delightful cast to tell her story.

Based on the Marvel comic book character first introduced in 2013, Ms Marvel follows Kamala – a 16-year-old Muslim, Pakistani-American girl from New Jersey – who daydreams about superheroes on a daily basis.

Her personal favourite is Captain Marvel, looking up to Carol Danvers as one of her ultimate idols.

One day, Kamala discovers a bangle that enabled her to use cosmic powers, resulting in her becoming a hero in her own right.

What time does Ms Marvel come out on Disney Plus?

Ms Marvel episodes will be available to watch on Disney Plus from 8am BST in the UK.

This means they’ll also be out from midnight PT (Pacific Time) and 3am ET (Eastern Time) in the US.

Disney Plus shows typically come out at the same time when they’re made available to watch on the platform.

However, when Obi-Wan Kenobi launched on Friday May 27, it came out a few hours earlier than expected in line with the Star Wars Celebration taking place at the time.

How many episodes of Ms Marvel will drop?

There are going to be six episodes of Ms Marvel in total, with the first episode coming out on Wednesday June 8 and the final instalment on Wednesday July 13 as they’re released on a weekly basis.

This also means it’s going to clash with the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the episodes for which also come out on Wednesdays and will draw to a close with its episode six finale on Wednesday June 22 (the same day as Ms Marvel episode three).

So basically, for the next few weeks, Marvel and Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to!

While it’s uncertain whether Ms Marvel will have subsequent seasons, it’s already been confirmed that Kamala will return in The Marvels, the 2023 sequel to Captain Marvel.

Iman will reprise her role opposite Brie Larson, as Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers, and Teyonah Parris, as Monica Rambeau, who was first introduced in WandaVision.

Ms Marvel will be available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Wednesdays.
