The detective drama follows the brand new season of Dancing on Ice.
Vera will air between 8pm and 10pm, and will be followed by ITV news and weather.
As the female detective delves deeper into Lizzy’s personal life, she finds out just how paranoid the teacher was.
She had cut herself off from everyone she loved in the days leading up to her tragic demise.
Viewers will be on the edge of their seats as they discover how Lizzy died.
She said: “I find the people of the North East generally very friendly.
“What does surprise me is the age span of the Vera fans. You get older people but also younger – junior school age who like Vera.
“Their mums or dads have brought them along.
“One lad told me that young people like Vera because she’s in charge of all these men, she keeps them all in their place and she is funny.
“I’m glad they get that Vera does have a sense of humour. Apart from doing her job well.”
When asked whether there will be a 12th series, she said: “I’ll tell you when I’ve got my breath back!”
Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the season so far.
Citizen JC said: “I love many things about #Vera but particularly that she is just not here for any of your b******t.
“As a middle-aged woman who gives less of a toss what people think of me as I get older, I aspire to Vera levels of non people pleasing.”
Vera airs on ITV on Sundays at 8pm.
