The Sandman
“After years of false starts, The Sandman—Neil Gaiman’s classic comic series from 1989 to 1996—has finally been transformed into a sprawling Netflix series, starring Tom Sturridge, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, David Thewlis, Jenna Coleman, Joely Richardson, Gwendoline Christie, and Patton Oswalt, among (many) others,” writes Vogue’s Marley Marius. “In it, Sturridge plays Dream, a.k.a. Morpheus, a.k.a. The Sandman himself, who must restore order to both the waking and the dreaming worlds after being imprisoned for 100 years. Early reactions signal that Gaiman’s fervent fans, who long feared the formidable work unadaptable, are thrilled by the result.”
All 10 episodes of The Sandman are now streaming on Netflix.
