Pavitra Rishta was one of the highest-rating show back in the day. It showcased a mellow romance between Archana and Manav. But that’s not it, fans also gushed over Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput’s chemistry in Pavitra Rishta. But did you know Ankita Lokhande worked really hard to be a part of Pavitra Rishta? Well, the directed of the show Kushal Zaveri shared a small clip on Instagram, stating that Ankita worked for the show even when she was suffering from dengue. As it was a Maha episode, Lokhande ensured to work even when she was really unwell.
Recalling the incident, Kushal wrote, “There was a maha episode which was to be aired competing with KBC and big boss. Lot of promotion from all sides .. during the shoot of that episode @lokhandeankita was infected with dengue and she was really unwell. Was not able to stand but she being determined to do well for the show. Managed to give all close ups and we shot the last scene at 6pm on Powai Lake with same day telecast at 9pm.”
Kushal recalled the time when Ankita had dengue
The show was competing with Amitabh Bachchan starrer Kaun Banega Crorepati and Salman Khan starrer Bigg Boss. At that time, those two reality shows were ruling TV and giving them tough competition was Pavitra Rishta. He further added, “Pavitra Rishta triumphed with higest ratings ( 7.2 ) leaving behind big boss and KBC. Such was the craze of PVR. 14yearsofpavitrarishta Missing my alien brother.“
Ankita also commented, “The one who directed pavitra rishta and made it what is and that’s you sir.”
As Pavitra Rishta completed 14 years, the Manikarnika actor shared a heartwarming post on Instagram. She wrote, “Aasman main jab tak sitare rahenge hum ek dusre ke sahare rahenge. Nazdikiyan ya ho duriyaan bas pyaar hi rahega darmiyan. Pavitra rishta tere mere mann ka. Sharing some beautiful memories of archana (archu) pavitrarishta #14yearsold.”
