Like every year, International Mountain Day 2022 will be celebrated on December 11, this year falling on Sunday. Since 2003, International Mountain Day has been observed after the United Nations General Assembly designated the observance on December 11. It is celebrated to highlight the importance of mountains to life and to encourage sustainable development in mountains. ‘Women Move Mountains’ is the theme of International Mountain Day 2022.
