If you’re tuning into season 7 of Outlander week by week, then good on ya, because I simply do not have the patience for that type of watching. I much prefer waiting for the new season of a show (which, BTW, starts on Friday June, 16) to be uploaded in full to whatever streaming service so that I can watch it all in one go. In the case of Outlander, it’s always been uploaded to Netflix for our on-demand viewing pleasure, but on a delay from when the season airs, so the real question of the hour is when exactly is that going to happen? Well, here’s what we know about it.
Will Outlander season 7 be on Netflix?
Almost definitely! In fact, if you happen to find yourself in the countries of Belgium, France, India, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Poland, South Korea, or Singapore, season 7 episodes are going to be released on Netflix weekly, alongside its release on Starz. But back in the ol’ U.S.A., we only have seasons 1-5 on Netflix right now, with season 6 (AKA the season that ended over a year ago) not expected to be added until May 2024, so we’ll be waiting a hot minute for season 7 to make its way there.
So when exactly will Outlander season 7 be added to Netflix?
Outlander‘s Starz to Netflix pipeline operates on a two-year delay, meaning each season tends to be added to Netflix two years after its finale airs on Starz. Now, here’s where things get tricky: season 7 is airing in two eight-episode parts (part 1 ends August 4, with part 2 not being released until 2024) so it’s kinda hard to say how exactly that’ll affect its Netflix release. Assuming the two parts are put out separately, we can expect the first eight episodes to make their way to Netflix in the late summer of 2025, with the final eight not coming until some time in 2026 (!!). It’s a loooong ways away, but it gives you plenty of time to try to figure out how to get around Netflix trying to kick you off your old roommate’s cousin’s account.
Is there anywhere to watch all of Outlander season 7 sooner?
Yes! If you want to watch the season all in one go but don’t want to wait two freaking years to do it, you can stream all episodes directly on Starz or on other platforms like Hulu or Amazon Prime if you have the Starz add-on.
