The weekend is finally here, and before you start making plans for Solstice next week, now is a great time to pay your friendly neighborhood arms dealer Xur a visit. As usual, Xur has returned with a fresh selection of Exotic gear and legendary-class items. Here’s where you can find Xur this week and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Vigilance Wing. Hunters can pick up the Fr0st-EE5 leg armor; Titans can grab the An Insurmountable Skullfort helmet; and Warlocks can buy the Crown of Tempests helmet.
Xur Location
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.

Exotic Armor
An Insurmountable Skullfort (Exotic Titan helmet)
A great Exotic for Titans who love to use their Arc subclass, An Insurmountable Skullfort allows for Arc melee kills to increase health regeneration and restore melee energy. With the right mods installed in your armor, this helmet can be used to dish out several devastating powered melee blows while keeping you alive. The stats are also very well spread out on this roll, although you’ll need to invest in an intellect mod to bring that up to speed with everything else. Strength is the highest stat here, which works well for the punch-heavy nature of this Exotic.
- Mobility: 11
- Resilience: 11
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 12
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 15
- Total: 62
Fr0st-EE5 (Exotic Hunter leg armor)
A popular Exotic for PvP, Fr0st-EE5 gives you increased grenade, melee, and dodge regeneration while sprinting, while dodging increases your sprint speed. The numbers on this Exotic are very eclectic, as there’s an incredibly high recovery stat, something that Hunters don’t often specialize in. Strength is high, which is nice for melees, but the useful mobility, resilience, and intellect stats are quite low here.
- Mobility: 4
- Resilience: 6
- Recovery: 25
- Discipline: 10
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 15
- Total: 66
Crown of Tempests (Exotic Warlock helmet)
One of the two best Warlock Arc-focused Exotic helmets, Crown of Tempests can extend the Stormtrance Super and the recharge rate of Arc abilities is increased after final blows with that element are performed. This Exotic also has a weird spread of stats, as resilience, recovery, and discipline are quite low. There’s a high mobility stat, something that Warlocks don’t usually specialize in, but intellect and strength have decent stat numbers here.
- Mobility: 19
- Resilience: 6
- Recovery: 8
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 15
- Strength: 15
- Total: 65
Exotic Weapons
Vigilance Wing (Exotic pulse rifle)
A popular pulse rifle, Vigilance Wing got even better after a weapons update several months back. You’ll often see these wielded in PvP, as not only does Vigilance Wing have an ultra-smooth five-round burst, but it also gives you increased health regeneration and increased movement speed if a nearby ally falls in battle.
- Harsh Truths
- Corkscrew Rifling
- Alloy Magazine
- Last Stand
- Composite Stock
Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)
Hawkmoon’s roll this week is another one that you can miss if you already have a version of this hand cannon that works for you. Surplus gives you increased handling, reload speed, and stability for each fully charged ability, but it doesn’t synergize that well with the rest of the perks on offer with this build.
- Paracausal Shot
- Smallbore
- Alloy Magazine
- Surplus
- Smooth Grip
Dead Man’s Tale (Exotic scout rifle)
Dead Man’s Tale this week is a decent roll for PvE. Fourth Time’s the Charm will return two rounds to the magazine after you rapidly land several precision hits, but Vorpal Weapon is generally a more sought-after perk with the other traits that this weapon has.
- Cranial Spike
- Arrowhead Brake
- Flared Magwell
- Fourth Time’s the Charm
- Composite Stock

Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 Vanguard strikes or win Crucible and Gambit matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but from this season, you’ll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers has also increased, as you’ll now be able to hold up to five of them at a time.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
