The Legend of Zelda amiibo are some of the toughest ones to find. But it’s getting a little easier to secure ones for yourself ahead of the May 12 launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch. Best Buy is accepting pre-orders for the Link amiibo from Majora’s Mask, and GameStop has the Link amiibo from Twilight Princess available for pre-order. If it’s the Link amiibo from Tears of the Kingdom you’re after, Amazon just opened up pre-orders of that one.
Nintendo has confirmed that tapping certain Zelda-themed amiibo on your Switch will change the look of Link’s paraglider, with a different design depending on the figure. As we get closer the game’s launch (we suggest pre-ordering, if you haven’t already), we’ll likely find out if more amiibo figures have special interactivity. Nintendo recently showed off 10 minutes of Tears of the Kingdom gameplay, and announced a limited edition Zelda Switch OLED that’s available for pre-order and comes out on April 28.
Below, we’ve included links to amiibo that Nintendo says will offer special Tears of the Kingdom integration. We’ll be adding links to retailers who have stock available to pre-order or purchase, with pricier alternatives in case you’re willing to pay more to get your hands on them.
Link (Majora’s Mask) amiibo
Best Buy currently lists this amiibo as “coming soon,” with a May 12 release date — the same day when Tears of the Kingdom will release in the United States. It’s now available for pre-order.
Link (Tears of the Kingdom) amiibo
This figure is listed as “coming soon,” also with a May 12 release date at Best Buy. It will be $15.99, and while it’s not yet available for pre-order at Best Buy, you can pre-order it through GameStop and at Amazon.
Zelda and Loftwing (Skyward Sword) amiibo
This $24.99 amiibo is readily available at Best Buy, GameStop, and at Amazon, so you can pick it up right now.
Link: Rider (Breath of the Wild) amiibo
This amiibo isn’t in stock at major U.S. retailers, at least for its usual retail price. However, Amazon has it in stock for about $36.
Link (Twilight Princess) amiibo
GameStop is now accepting pre-orders for the Link from Twilight Princess amiibo, which costs $15.99. Nintendo hasn’t shared whether this amiibo will have an effect on Link’s paraglider fabric in Tears of the Kingdom, but it’s possible that it will.
Update (March 31): The Link amiibo from Tears of the Kingdom is now available for pre-order through Amazon, in case you prefer to shop at that retailer.
