“Love Actually Live” at The Wallis

The multimedia stage adaptation of the popular holiday rom-com returns after drawing huge audiences in 2018 and ’19. “A Christmas Carol” at Ahmanson Theatre

Playwright Jack Thorne (“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”) and director Matthew Warchus (“Matilda”) have teamed up to create a new interpretation of Charles Dickens’ classic story. The Broadway version of this production won five Tony Awards in September, making it the most-awarded show of the most recent season. The cast includes Bradley Whitford (“The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The West Wing”) as Scrooge and the score boasts a dozen Christmas carols, including “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World.” Nov. 30-Jan. 1.
