The Europa League has reached the knock-out phase having returned from its winter break.
A whole host of clubs are in contention to go all the way and lift the trophy in May’s final, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona.
However, several sides have already seen their dreams dashed for another year at least.
We take a look at the teams who are still standing in the Europa League this season, and those who have already been knocked out.
Which teams are remaining in the Europa League?
The play-off round, which takes place on February 16 and 23, includes the eight teams who finished third in their Champions League groups.
Among them are European giants Barcelona, Juventus and Ajax, whose arrival in the Europa League will boost the profile of this year’s competition.
Sporting, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla and Salzburg are the other sides who have dropped down from Europe’s premier club competition.
The Champions League drop-outs will play the sides who finished second in the Europa League group stage, which includes Manchester United, Monaco and Roma.
Arsenal are one of eight Europa League group winners who advanced straight to the Round of 16, where they will meet one of the play-off victors.
