Arsenal may turn to summer signing Ben White to end their recent Anfield hoodoo against Liverpool this weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s side are one of the form teams in the Premier League after a run of eight matches without defeat lifting them up to fifth.
The Gunners can climb into the Champions League places if they beat Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool – with that match live on talkSPORT on Saturday at 5.30pm.
Arsenal have kept three clean sheets in their last three away matches and could end a lengthy record if they manage to collect just one more.
An Anfield shut-out would see the north Londoners earn a fourth consecutive away clean sheet in the Premier League – the first time they’ve achieved that since May 2005.
However, a clean sheet on the road against Liverpool is a tall order for Arsenal considering their recent wretched form on Merseyside.
The Gunners have lost their last five home Premier League matches against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Arsenal have also conceded at least three goals in every loss – they last had a longer away top-flight losing run against Liverpool between 1981 and 1988.
In addition, Mohamed Salah has a remarkable record in this fixture, having hit seven goals and added four assists in just nine appearances.

However, the Egyptian will be coming up against an Arsenal team whose defence has been transformed since the start of the season.
And if anyone knows a thing or two about winning clean sheets and keeping Salah quiet at Anfield it’s £50million defender White.
The England international played the full 90 minutes for Brighton in the Seagulls’ famous 1-0 win away at Liverpool back in February.
Steven Alzate bagged the winner but White was part of a backline that managed to subdue Salah and Co to secure the three points.
Arsenal boss Arteta was part of the last Gunners side to win at Anfield back in 2012 and the Spaniard admitted the time was right to end that barren run.
He said: “It’s been a while, as you mentioned, so it’s time to do it again.
“I have experienced both, winning and losing and I know why you lose matches at Anfield and which is the mindset emotionally and the preparation that you need to go there convinced and make sure that you are at the races to compete in that stadium.”
