How long does it take the average Canadian to binge-watch their favourite Netflix shows? If you’re on the East Coast, not very long.

Viewers in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are more likely to binge-watch their shows the fastest, taking only an average of 4.3 days to complete a typical 10-episode series, according to a survey by time2play.

The second-fastest binge-watchers are in British Columbia, taking five days, on average, to finish a season. New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador are tied for third, binge-watching at a pace of six days.

Quebec residents followed, taking 6.2. days, on average, Ontarians were right behind them taking 6.3 days to finish a series, and those in Alberta burn through a season in 6.4 days.
The findings are based on a survey of 1,000 Canadian residents with an average age of 33.2 years old from coast to coast (Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut were not accounted for due to insufficient data).

Meanwhile, people in Saskatchewan are more than happy to take their sweet time streaming a show. The average viewer there takes more than a week (an average of 7.7 days) to get through a series.
The gambling site also looked at Canadians’ viewing habits, specifically when they typically binge-watch a show.
The majority of Canadians (62.9%) binge-watch at night, from 8 p.m. to midnight.
The respondents also admitted to catching two episodes before they decide whether a show is actually bingeworthy.
The latest season of Stranger Things ranked as the top Netflix shows Canadians binge-watched in 2022.
Season 2 of The Witcher, Season 3 of Bridgerton, Dahmer and the sophomore season of Ozark round out the Top 5 shows Canadians binge-watched fastest in 2022.
