Starting off with Rs 20 lakh, the bidding war for Vivrant eventually went SRH’s way as the franchise paid 13 times his base price.
The left-handed opener might not have too many matches to his name but the rookie impressed quite a few cricketing pundits with his explosive batting in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. Vivrant was J&K’s second highest run-scorer in the tournament, amassing 395 runs at an impressive average of 56.42.

In India’s domestic 50-over tournament, Vivrant smashed 124-ball 154 against Uttarakhand that helped his team enter the knockouts for the very first time. His 62-ball 69 against Ranji champions Madhya Pradesh also helped J&K chase down a daunting 343 earlier in the tournament.
Vivrant, so far has played 14 List A games where he has 519 runs with a century and three fifties to his name along with 8 wickets.
In the 9 T20s Vivrant has played so far in his short career, the power-hitter has 191 runs at a strike rate of 128.18 to go with his 6 wickets.
Only a week back, Vivrant made his Ranji Trophy debut against Madhya Pradesh and is currently playing his second game against Gujarat.
