Abbie Chatfield has given fans an update on her open relationship and it’s not sounding great.
The former Bachelor star revealed on her podcast ‘IT’S A LOT’ that she has not been intimate with boyfriend Konrad Bien-Stephen for weeks.
“We haven’t had sex for like three and a half weeks,” she said.
“We’ve only had one night together, like actual night where I’m not working and we’re not away from each other.”
The controversial social media personality said she has been having “a really hard time with libido” and speculated it may be down to a urinary tract infection.
“I can’t be f..ked and also, my UTI issues. I really can’t be bothered with this, like I don’t have time to have a UTI. I’m not sleeping, I’m not eating,” she said.
Chatfield said she was worried her low libido meant she didn’t have feelings for Konrad anymore however, after discussions with her therapist, who used Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to explain to Chatfield, she realised her basic ‘psychological needs’ were not being met.
Her therapist reassured her that once she gets her sleeping and eating under control that she will most likely want to be intimate with her partner again.
The 26-year-old was praised by Instagram users for being so open about her struggles.
One follower wrote: “As a 66-year-old female can I just tip my hat to you for your honesty and openness. You have no idea how many women you will help. Bravo, you are my hero.”
Any comment from Konrad was notably absent however, all seemed well on his Instagram page with the former Bachelorette contestant sharing his top priorities for a relationship.
The 31-year-old carpenter said during a sponsored eharmony video that he thinks “trust, support and communication” are the most important things in a relationship”.
