Kettling starts in your boiler as a result of limescale building up and blocking radiator pipes.

This can make rumbling and banging noises.

If you suspect the problem could be kettling, you’ll need to call in a professional to flush your system removing any debris.

However, if the banging noises get louder and appear to come from the floor below the radiator, it could be caused by loose pipes, which you shouldn’t attempt to fix yourself.
