After their match against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, PSG will play Cerezo Osaka in Osaka next week before taking on Inter Milan in Tokyo on August 1 and South Korean side Jeonbuk Motors two days later.
But as PSG prepare for the upcoming season, a significant name is missing out from their squad for the pre-season tour. Kylian Mbappe is left out of the PSG squad for the Japan tour. It has come as a huge shock to the PSG fans, which may indicate the player has burnt his bridges with the club.
Why Kylian Mbappe is not in PSG’s pre-season tour?
It all boiled up from Kylian Mbappe’s decision to not sign a new deal at the French club. The France star revealed earlier this summer that he would not sign a new contract at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe added that he was planning to play for PSG during the forthcoming season to see out his deal but that would mean him leaving for free next summer. PSG, by no means, are going to entertain that and they have indicated that a proper sum will mean Mbappe getting sold in the summer.
There are clubs who will come for the France international as PSG demand around £150 million for the striker. And the transfer pickle with Mbappe is a reason why PSG haven’t added him to the pre-season squad.
With Mbappe aiming to manoeuvre a move away next season, it looks imperative that the French giants will offload Mbappe this summer. Real Madrid is a probable destination, but any team who may match the price for PSG can get Mbappe.
Although Mbappe won’t travel with the team in Japan, he played in the last friendly against Le Havre on Friday, and also scored a goal for the French giants.
But Kylian’s 16-year-old brother Ethan is included in the touring squad along with star names like Neymar, whose future has also been the subject of speculation.
