OnlyFans is generally considered an easy way to make money.
But one creator has ditched the scheme for an ordinary, every day, “boring 9-5”.
Dasha Daley had spent two years as an adult content creator on OnlyFans before she felt something needed to change.
The Perth girl told her fans on TikTok she couldn’t be happier after abandoning the adult industry for something more mundane.
“It’s day one at a real job after being a spicy content creator for two years,” she said in a video to her fans.
“And after a 10-hour shift — I’m honestly exhausted, but I just feel so fulfilled that I’ve got a normal job again, and I’ve actually worked.”
However, she hasn’t completely left her past life behind, saying whenever she needs extra money, she’ll happily make some content to stay afloat.
The blonde beauty said being a content creator could get extremely “lonely and boring”, so she was happy about the structure and routine a regular job offers.
“I just feel so much better than sitting at home all day and doing the content creation,” she said.
“I’d rather just have a real job and feel like I’ve got a purpose helping society.”
Her followers praised her career shift, thanking her for sharing her experience.
“Well done,” one said.
“Thanks for sharing. While exhausting, I’m sure the feeling of having a real job and positively contributing to society must feel amazing!”
“Good for you! Do what makes you happy,” said another.
“Nice! It’s not all about the money,” wrote another.
“It doesn’t really matter what you are doing as long as you enjoy it and you’re not harming yourself or others. Good on you,” one more said.
“Congratulations on your new employment and purpose.”
Daley wrote on Instagram that she wanted to bring to light the downsides of being an adult content creator.
“You have to deal with a lot of hate and online bullying as no one respects you and accepts this job in society,” she said.
“It can also affect your relationships around you and impact your future and employment.”
She wanted to make people aware that being an OnlyFans model is more complicated than it looks.
“This job has a lot of sacrifices, and that “easy money” doesn’t come easy,” she said.
She says she is trying to iron out her plans in the workforce and the challenges that come with it.
“This online job is not sustainable and not a forever job in the long run — it is so important to have a plan B and exit plan,” she said.
