Scottie Pippen has been trending this week for his less-than-flattering comments on his old teammate, Michael Jordan.
While Pippen and Jordan won six titles together, the former NBA star has taken some big shots at his old teammate, stemming back to ESPN’s “The Last Dance.”
This week, Pippen went viral when he said Jordan played “horrible” basketball before he arrived.
“I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to the Bulls. You guys have seen him play. He was a horrible player,” Pippen said on the Gimme the Hot Sauce! podcast. “He was horrible to play with. It was all 1-on-1, shooting bad shots. All of a sudden, we become a team and we start winning. Everybody forgot who he was. He was a player who was really not at the top of his category.”
So, why is Pippen holding such a grudge with Jordan?
While some believe it stems back to Pippen not getting enough credit from Jordan during the six-title dynasty, others are pointing to something more recent.

Jordan’s son, Marcus, has reportedly been dating Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa, for several months now.
While they reportedly said they were friends initially, they’re now in a full-blown relationship.
