For dinner, the resort has its own restaurant by the pool, where the water is lit up like a galaxy and you can eat outside under the stars. The menu was extensive and mouth-watering, offering a selection of food for different dietary requirements.
Although there was a shuttle bus that would drive you to other restaurants by the beach, there was honestly no need to leave the resort as we had everything we needed there and more.
A shop on-site sold clothes and jewellery from Greek designers, there’s is also a Spa which offers features such as large heated indoor pool, steam room, three treatment rooms, sauna, hair salon, and a nail salon, giving you all the wellness escapism you need in one stop, and even an Amphitheater offering theatrical and musical performances throughout the day.
The day before returning, the hotel provided a lateral flow test, free of charge for all guests, to ensure a smooth departure. The trip came to a close and we took one last dip at the pool before heading to our delicious buffet breakfast.
All-in-all the trip was phenomenal. It’s the perfect getaway for families, friends or couples looking to relax and enjoy good weather with lots of privacy and state-of-the-art facilities. To top it off, everything about CAYO was instagrammable. The views, the pool areas, every inch of the villa, and even the elevator trip was deserving of a selfie. It was one big Instax moment, and after the year that we’ve had, we are all deserving of a little break from this slice of Crete paradise.
CAYO Resort & Spa you have my heart.
CAYO Exclusive Resort & Spa cost from £295 per night, including breakfast.
