An Australian company that claims to make the world’s strongest jeans has now got designs on activewear.

Saint, which says its jeans have 200 times the strength of denim, is looking to muscle in on the sector after developing a range of gym and running clothing.

The founders of the Melbourne-based company used to be involved with 2XU and after a non-compete clause expired, CEO Aidan Clarke said they are looking to get “back on the horse we know”.

And it’s not too much of a stretch to suggest they could be a chance of winning the race.

“They are taking on the company they sold out of with their new line,” says Grafa’s Colin Ebsworth on the latest episode of The West Australian’s new finance show Trading Up.
