Will Mellor admits ‘feet are purple’ from Strictly training

But Will Mellor doesn’t seem too thrilled by it, though. Appearing on Wednesday’s Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show, It Takes Two, the 46-year-old didn’t hold back as he shared how exasperated he was with the upcoming dance routine. When quizzed by host Janette Manrara about training, he admitted his feet had turned “purple” and he was “knackered”.

Former Coronation Street star Will has faced all the experiences that Strictly brings, having been at the top of the leaderboard in week one and closer to the bottom of the leaderboard a few weeks ago.

As he sat opposite Janette and next to his dance partner Nancy Xu, he made it clear he was tired of his latest routine.

“We’re going to do the Quickstep this weekend!” Janette said excitedly. “And they’re dancing to this…”

As a song blasted through the studio, Will placed his hands over his face and shook his head, rolling his eyes.

“Will, what’s that face?” Janette asked, surprised. “Okay, okay, Will, I feel like I’ve got to ask why the face?”

“Seriously, it makes me knackered even listening to the song!” he replied.

“The clue’s in the title with the Quickstep! I took my shoes off the other day, they were purple!

“I was like, ‘Is this normal? Is it normal?'”

“And that’s what you’re doing,” he stated. “It’s like… it’s really fast.

“Loads of character, really fun, I’m enjoying it, it’s just tiring.”

Last week, Will and Nancy found themselves in eighth place on the leaderboard, with a score of 32.

For Halloween Week, the pair danced a Cha Cha to Mama Told Me Not To Come.
