So we thought it only right that we pick up the baton for a while and dig as deep as we can to find out exactly if, and when, a second season might be on the cards.
If you haven’t watched it yet (seriously, cancel your weekend plans) then the premise is basically that a previously less-than-cool high school student (Lana) gets a new lease of life after discovering she’s dead and now a ghost (casual). As the official description reads, “Two senior BFFs make a last-ditch attempt to be seen. But when one of them becomes a ghost, she’ll need to really live her best life – while she can.”
Makes perfect sense, right?
So, now that we’re all up-to-date, here’s what we know about a Boo, Bitch season two so far…
Has Boo, Bitch season 2 been confirmed?
The short answer is, no. And the long answer is also, no. Netflix currently have the show down as a limited series, which generally means the project will serve as a standalone. However, the platform are notoriously in-touch with the wants and wishes of their subscribers, and so judging by the positive reaction this first season got, there is always a chance the show could come back in some form.
Who could star in Boo, Bitch season 2?
Again, we are totally speculating here as our moles on the inside have yet to let us know whether a season 2 is on the cards. However, in an ideal world, we’d hope to see Lana Condor returning as Erika Vu. It’s less likely that Zoe Colletti would come back as Gia, given the fact that Gia is actually dead – although, given that the show doesn’t let ‘being dead’ serve as a reason to not get a starring role, we could always see her turn up as a ghost.
As for the rest of the Parkway High students, the characters have now graduated and gone to college, so it’s tricky to tell who’d be back.
Is there a Boo, Bitch season 2 expected release date?
Annoyingly, try as we might, it turns out that you need a show to actually be commissioned first before it gets a release date. How rude.
We’ll update you as soon as we have further – hopefully good – news though, so standby.
