Rohan Bopanna is the lone Indian in the main draw and he will be competing in the men’s doubles event alongside Matthew Ebden of Australia. The pair, ranked 27th, are seeded sixth for the grass court grand slam tournament.
Like last year, men’s and women’s singles matches will open the tournament and the matches will be spread across two days until the quarterfinal stages. The semifinals will be held on two separate days like the final.
The doubles action will begin on July 5 with the men’s and women’s events, while the Mixed Doubles competition, which will be a 32-draw size, will begin on July 7. All the matches will be played across courts at the All England Club with the main matches taking place on Centre Court.
The men’s singles event will be a best of five sets, while the remaining events will all be a best of three sets as the men’s Doubles format has changed from best of five sets to best of three this year.
