A 35-year-old Washington state mother allegedly told police she identifies as a teen boy after she was arrested for unlawfully harbouring minors.

Amanda Dorrough, who goes by the name “Taz,” was arrested and charged with unlawful harbouring of minors after police in Port Angeles said they received a report from a school that she was planning to flee with a group of teens to Seattle.

The Daily Mail reported that Dorrough, a mother of three young children, faced claims of child sexual harassment and providing alcohol and drugs to a group of runaway teens.

Police had previously been called several times about Dorrough’s behaviour with minors, a police report said.

The report said one of the alleged minor victims told police Dorrough was “pedophile-ish.”

On May 4, police arrested her with a sick diabetic boy in a gully strewn with blankets, a bra and condom packets, according to the Daily Mail.

The boy required treatment in hospital.

While in police custody, Dorrough allegedly told police she identifies as a 15-year-old boy, claiming teenagers “understand” her.

Since April, she has been reported to police 11 times for hanging around teenagers.

Neighbours reportedly told police they saw her “topless and braless” with teens at her apartment and that she was sexting youths.

She was ejected from a Boys and Girls Club over what was seen as “predatory” behaviour,” according to a police incident report.

Dorrough has not been charged with any sexual offences.
