The stage is set for the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Final Four in Dallas, TX.
No. 1 seeds South Carolina and Virginia Tech advanced, while No. 2 Iowa and N. 3 LSU round out the field.
Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks have now made the Final Four in three straight seasons, led by star Aliyah Boston.
However, they have a tough road to make the final, despite being set at -330 favorites to win the entire tournament. The undefeated Gamecocks take on arguably the best player in all of college basketball in Caitlin Clark in the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket, Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers are looking to polish off their long tournament run and advance against Virginia Tech. In fact, they are favored to do so.
Here’s a look at the odds for each Final Four game, as well as the National Championship winner:
LSU vs. Virginia Tech odds, spread and total
Is the wrong team favored here?
The Hokies have won 15 straight, including 12 games by double digits, to reach the Final Four.
While Mulkey is one of the most respected coaches in the sport, Virginia Tech earned a No. 1 seed for a reason. The Hokies are better at taking care of the ball and shoot a higher percentage from the line this season.
In a game that is expected to be this close, that’s going to matter a whole lot.
Iowa vs. South Carolina odds, spread and total
This is arguably the best game remaining in either NCAA Tournament, even though the Gamecocks are heavy favorites.
Clark has been amazing for the Hawkeyes on this tournament run, and if bettors feel like she has another dazzling performance left, betting on Iowa at +950 to win it all could be extremely profitable.
However, Staley and South Carolina haven’t lost all season, which is why they are expected to keep on rolling through this tournament.
