Lionel Messi broke SEVERAL records as he helped Argentina reach their sixth FIFA World Cup final with a 3-0 win over Croatia on Tuesday.

Messi opened the scoring with a well-taken penalty in the 34th minute before Julian Alvarez made it comfortable for Argentina with his brace.

In scoring on the night, Messi moved level with France superstar Kylian Mbappe in the 2022 World Cup goalscoring charts with FIVE goals.

Lastly, Messi earned himself a FOURTH man of the match award with his performance against Croatia. No player has more man of the match awards than him at the Qatar games.
