In the contemporary era sedentary lifestyle, we often tend to keep certain health related things at bay that will hit us after few years.

How Much Fluids Do You Consume?
This is a cliched advise that one might receive about every health related aspect. Staying hydrated, consuming ample of fluids is one of the best practises to maintain a healthy body. More fluids aid kidneys to flush out the toxins and function at optimum required levels. Several bodily complications are mitigated by just consuming enough water, detox drinks etc.
Too Much Salt Intake
Increased sodium content in diet can create complications in the body. Especially if you have high blood pressure, more salt consumption can harm kidneys. It is better to opt for fresh fruits and veggies and keep a check on sodium levels.
Food Choices
These days, ready to make, packed food, processed food is in high demand. However, they come bearing adverse effects on the body. Often such foods are high in phosphorous levels and can be further detrimental to kidneys.
No Physical Activity
Are you sitting most of the hours in the day? Now this is one of the key reasons that can pose significant danger to our kidney health. Often due to work we keep physical activities at bay. Procrastinating much? Well, it is time to get up and get the metabolism going. Physical workout also helps in maintaining blood sugar levels and keep your weight in check so that kidneys do not near the load for everything.
Too Much Alcohol?
Excess of anything is bad. If you are drinking more than 4 glasses a day, it is going to take a heavy toll on your kidneys. Too much alcohol compromises the functioning of the kidneys and affects the blood filtration process too.
Cut Down On Sugar
If you are a sweet tooth, keep your sugar levels in check. Too much sugar increase risk of diabetes and obesity which further has damaging effects on kidneys.
Consuming Medicines Without Proper Advise
Incase you take too many pills for headaches, or back pains quite frequently, please stop. It is always advised to consult a doctor for proper medication because overuse of painkillers might lead to kidney cancer.
