If you’re after inspiration for your next road trips, then look no further; the world’s top 10 scenic winter drives have been revealed complete with everything from epic glaciers to towering mountains.
The best part is that Brits won’t need to go far to start ticking them off the bucket list as a UK spot has made the cut.
The Lake District has taken the fourth spot in the new rankings. There’s heaps to explore in the region over winter, whether driving through those picture-perfect villages, driving through the winding roads surrounded by sprawling countryside, or simply stopping off to enjoy the views of the epic lakes that the region is so famous for.
There’s a reason why it’s also recently picked up the crown for Brits’ top winter staycation choice.
As for the road trip crowned the best winter drive? That accolade went to Icefields Parkway in Canada, topping the rankings from car hire comparison website EnjoyTravel.com.
The winners were ranked based on factors such as their natural scenery, sights of interest along the way, route distance and other data for the winter months.
It’s not difficult to see why Icefields Parkway has proven such a hit.
Linking Lake Louise with Jasper, Alberta, this epic route has some seriously beautiful scenery on offer.
We’re talking emerald lakes, over 100 ancient glaciers, ethereal waterfalls, dramatic rock formations, pine tree forests, snow-capped mountains and plenty more for intrepid explorers to discover.

Highlights include the Weeping Wall where 330ft-high rocks are covered in a series of waterfalls, Bow Lake with its incredible turquoise waters you’ve most likely already seen on your social media feeds, and Peyto Lake which recently topped a list of the world’s most beautiful natural places.
