WrestleMania 39: Spoiler on scheduled WWE Women’s Championship Matches

0

The 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match winner Rhea Ripley will challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship while Women’s Elimination Chamber 2023 winner Asuka will challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.

Current betting odds regarding these two matches are out courtesy of BetOnline. In the blue brand women’s title bout, Rhea Ripley is a heavy favorite (-800) to win her maiden Smackdown Women’s Title from the champion (+425).

The storyline itself indicates a title change as The Nightmare is yet to pick up a solo pay-per-view win over The Queen in her career. Besides, she also wants revenge for the loss handed to her at WrestleMania 36 over the NXT Women’s Championship.

That being said, it’s also for the first-time-ever in the WWE Women’s Division that a WrestleMania rematch will be going down. If the recently released trailer is any hint then this match should also close out Wrestlemania Hollywood Night One on Saturday, April 1.

According to Xero News, though, Charlotte vs. Rhea will take place on Night Two whereas Bianca vs. Asuka will take place on Night One. Per the source, none of these matches are scheduled to feature in the main event.

Whatever the match sequences are going to be, title changes seem evident as BetOnline also reveals that Asuka (-200) is the favorite to defeat Bianca (+150) to become the new Raw Women’s Champion.

Asuka, the winner of the 2023 women’s Elimination Chamber match has received monstrous booking since her comeback to WWE TV at Royal Rumble in late January.

En route to the Chamber Match win by tapping out Carmella, Asuka also put up a strong outing against Nikki Cross, Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, and Natalya. At this stage, there’s no one stronger than Asuka who could take the title away from Belair.

The EST of WWE won the Raw Women’s Title all the way back to WrestleMania 38 by defeating Becky Lynch which makes her a champion for almost a year. She is the second-longest-reigning titleholder in WWE women’s locker room only behind Lynch.
