Sean Ross Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that WrestleMania 41 is heading to Minneapolis as the city has a huge stadium arranged for the grand event. This particular location has also been “heavily discussed” among the company officials to be the host city.
It was noted that the City Planners have previously leaked this news to the local media, and in return, WWE confirmed that Minneapolis was indeed one of the front-runners to have secured the two-night show in 2025.
Fightful added that the U.S. Bank Stadium would be the location for WrestleMania 41 as it has a dome to capacitate well over 73,000 people. Plus, the temperature and baseball season could prevent the show from happening inside Target Field.
Furthermore, WWE is also impressed with the new stadium as reported below, “WWE told us that they view U.S. Bank Stadium as a world-class venue, and have heard that they’re getting more aggressive in getting non-Vikings related events in the huge stadium.”
The U.S. Bank Stadium is the home of The Minnesota Vikings and the Minneapolis state representatives are reportedly “getting more aggressive” in getting non-Vikings-related events at the stadium which is the reason they’re vying for the biggest professional wrestling event.
The latest Premium Live Event to have taken place in Minneapolis, Minnesota was TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs 2019 which is best remembered for Roman Reigns being pinned before the 2023 WWE Money in the Bank, earlier this month.
In the meantime, the news of WrestleMania staying in the US territory will disappoint the United Kingdom fans especially after John Cena teased WrestleMania in London after making a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank.
WWE has already confirmed WrestleMania 40 for Saturday, and Sunday, April 6 and 7, 2024 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets for the next grand PLE will go on sale on August 18.
Time will tell when the official announcement regarding WrestleMania 41 will arrive on WWE’s part. Meanwhile, the company has already figured out the rest of its PLE schedule for the remainder year and beyond as given below:
