WWE Money in the Bank 2023 Premium Live Event results, recap and highlights

Multiple Title Matches were also on the card and one of them also changed hands. Roman Reigns was pinned for the first time in over 3 years at the Bloodline Civil War Match.

Plus, John Cena was in attendance with a special message for the UK fans. Check out the recap and results from the Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event that took place at the O2 Arena in London, England:

– Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Damian Priest defeated LA Knight, Logan Paul, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Santos Escobar, and Butch to win a future world championship match opportunity, as per his choice.

The finish saw Knight climbing the ladder but Priest joined him at the top. Priest drove Knight into the mat from the ladder with a powerbomb. Priest then climbed the ladder, again and unhooked the briefcase to win.

– Undisputed Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez defeated Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler (c) to win and become the new champions. In a shocker, Shayna turned on Ronda during the match and attacked her from behind.

Baszler locked Rousey in the Kirifuda Clutch to leave her lying on the mat. Rodriguez tagged in and slammed an unconscious Rousey into the mat before Morgan connected with an Oblivion to win the titles.

– Intercontinental Championship Match: Gunther (c) defeated Matt Riddle to retain the Title. Drew McIntyre returned after the match and took out Gunther with a Claymore Kick before posing with the Intercontinental Title.

– Cody Rhodes defeated Dominik Mysterio (with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley). The finish saw Cody blocking a 619 attempt with a spinning Alabama Slam. Rhodes consecutively connected with Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes for the pin-fall win.

– John Cena made a surprise return to WWE programming at Money in the Bank 2023. In a promo, he said that he’s trying to bring WrestleMania to London. Grayson Waller interrupted and claimed that Australia should get a WrestleMania, not England.

Grayson also offered Cena to appear on The Grayson Waller Effect talk show so that he can save Cena’s career. As Cena passed the offer, Grayson attacked him from behind. But Cena eventually planted him with the Attitude Adjustment.

– Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: IYO SKY defeated Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, Zoey Stark, Bayley, and Zelina Vega to secure a future opportunity, per her choice to any of the Women’s Championships.

Bayley and Becky fought at the top of the ladder. After Becky handcuffed Bayley down from the ladder, SKY handcuffed Becky and Bayley together on the ladder. SKY then unhooked the briefcase to clinch the biggest win of her career.

– World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) defeated Finn Balor to retain the title. Damian Priest came out during the match with his Money in the Bank contract. Balor was distracted as Rollins stomped Balor’s head for the win.

– Bloodline Civil War: The Usos defeated Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in the main event of Money in the Bank 2023. It was Roman who got pinned by Jey Uso in the decisive fall attempt.

The Usos took out both Reigns and Sikoa with a series of superkicks. Jey then hit a splash on Reigns and pin Roman to win the match. This marked Roman’s first pinfall loss in three and a half years.

Once the match was over, Jimmy Uso wanted to bury the hatchet with Roman but Jey stopped him from doing so. The Usos left as a devastated Roman sat beside the ring to send Money in the Bank off the air.
