With some newbies participating in this year’s Men’s MITB ladder matches, there’s plenty of buzz regarding who will walk out with the Money in the Bank briefcase to secure himself a future world title opportunity.
Then Logan Paul suddenly got added into the mix, and many do believe that WWE must have made changes to their earlier creative planning. But that’s not the case as the celebrity YouTuber was always there in creative pitches for the ladder match.
PWInsider reports that Logan was always supposed to feature in the men’s MITB ladder match, and hence his late addition on this week’s Raw doesn’t reflect any last-minute creative changes in that regard.
Some consider Logan to emerge as the winner of the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match so that he can become a World Champion in the near future and earn major mainstream attention to the WWE.
The source hasn’t confirmed any concrete plans for the men’s MITB match winner. But like earlier times, there are people in the creative team who are pushing for LA Knight to win it.
Knight is touted to get his big break via this win as per the outlet, “We haven’t heard any 100% definitive plans for the Men’s MITB winner, although there are certainly people pushing for it to be the LA Knight breakthrough moment.”
For a long time, the former Million Dollar Championship winner on NXT was the favourite to win. In recent weeks, these chances have increased given how impressive he’s been with the mic while cutting promos.
As for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, PWInsider has consistently heard that IYO SKY is the frontrunner to become the winner. So there are basically no changes made for the planned match winners from earlier times.
SKY is a former two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Dakota Kai. In early May at Backlash premium live event, she challenged Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship and got tremendous support from the fans.
Apart from SKY, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Zoey Stark, Zelina Vega, and Trish Stratus will feature in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match while Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, LA Knight, Butch, Santos Escobar, Damian Priest, and Logan Paul will be in the men’s counterpart.
