On the May 15 episode of Raw from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, Becky Lynch made an appearance and issued a challenge to WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus for a match at Night of Champions.
This comes as a result of the duo’s ongoing feud on Raw. Back in February, Trish returned to the WWE to help Lita, and Becky Lynch, defeat Dakota Kai and IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Then at Wrestlemania 39, Becky, Trish, and Lita teamed up to defeat Damage CTRL in a tag team match. On the April 10 episode of Raw, Trish and Becky lost the Women’s Tag Team titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Soon after that match, Trish attacked Becky and turned heel in the process to kick off this feud between two generational superstars. Lita was also taken out of commission, earlier on that April 10 episode by Trish.
Since that attack, Becky was absent from Raw programming until last week when she returned to seek vengeance on Trish with an attack. Then last night, “The Man of the Masses” threw down the challenge to the legend for Night of Champions.
With this move from Becky, it’s almost certain that the duo will have a showdown at the upcoming Saudi Arabia PLE. Initially, this bout was reportedly planned for Summerslam set for the month of August.

In more news around Night of Champions, Mustafa Ali has received a shot at the Intercontinental Championship held by GUNTHER for that PLE night. Ali secured the opportunity by winning a Number-One Contender’s Battle Royal on Raw.
On his way to victory, Ali toppled names like former world champion Dolph Ziggler, former IC champion Ricochet, Otis, Matt Riddle, Bronson Reed, and more. The finish saw Ali connecting with a top rope dropkick to send Reed and Ricochet crashing to the floor.
