WWE Raw after WrestleMania 39: Brock Lesnar turns heel; Attacks Top Superstar

In the opening segment of the post-WrestleMania 39 edition of Raw, WWE Chief Content Officer acknowledged the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, and introduced him on the show. The 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes was quick to interrupt him.

Cody said he had Roman beat at WrestleMania 39 if it wasn’t for Solo Sikoa and hence wanted a rematch on Raw. Paul Heyman denied that match after which Cody challenged Reigns and Solo Sikoa to a tag team rematch.

Heyman then talked to Roman and the challenge was accepted on the condition that Cody’s partner should be someone who wrestled during the WrestleMania 39 weekend. Surprising everyone, Brock Lesnar appeared to join Cody in the ring.

A dream main event was thereby announced for Raw after WrestleMania 39 with the lineup standing: The Bloodline (Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa) vs. Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar.

All four competitors arrived at the ring for the match which never got underway as Lesnar turned heel and F5-ed Cody. Roman and Solo stood in the ring as Lesnar absolutely massacred Cody using a Steel Chair and the barricade.

Lesnar F5-ed Cody through the announce table after which WWE Official Adam Pearce came out. Lesnar scared him away before entering the ring and delivering another F5 to Cody, this time on top of the steel ring steps.

The Beast Incarnate left the ring, but he came back with a Steel Chair and assaulted Cody again. After choking Cody with the chair he left as Pearce, other WWE Officials and the paramedics checked on Cody.

Lesnar came out again, but he stopped on the ramp, took off his gloves, and showed middle fingers to Cody to send Raw off the air. With this set of actions, Lesnar’s obnoxious heel persona is back from his recent funny Texas Cowboy persona.

Back in 2012, Brock Lesnar made his comeback to WWE on Raw after WrestleMania 28 to send friendly vibes to John Cena, only to turn on him and deliver a massive F5, a move that changed the entire complexion of the WWE.

Some might find similarities between the latest attack of Lesnar to that of Cena since Cody is being considered the next poster boy of the WWE and the company might utilize none other than their top attraction in Brock Lesnar in putting him over.

While nothing is confirmed on what WWE has planned for Cody and Lesnar, they could be involved in a match at any of the next two international WWE PLEs, Backlash in Puerto Rico on May 6 and then King & Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia on May 27.
