Two weeks ago on the post-WrestleMania 39 episode, Brock Lesnar made an appearance and volunteered to team up with Cody Rhodes against The Bloodline (Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa) in the main event.

The match never took place as Lesnar turned on Rhodes and massacred him with an attack for almost ten minutes. A week later, Rhodes appeared in a promo session and dared to challenge Lesnar to a match at Backlash PLE.
To respond to the challenge, Brock Lesnar will be appearing on Raw, this week. In an update to the situation, WRKD Wrestling noted that the former ten-time WWE Champion will eventually accept The American Nightmare’s challenge.
“Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar will be confirmed for the upcoming PLE “Backlash” during this Monday’s RAW.”
Thus, coming out of the April 17 Monday Night Raw, The main event for Backlash 2023 should be confirmed. With Roman Reigns in a post-Mania hiatus, it makes sense why WWE has Lesnar booked for a match at Backlash.

In more updates from the source about the latest upcoming episode of Raw, the main event has also been revealed. It will be a six-man tag team match with Sami Zayn, Matt Riddle, and Kevin Owens taking on Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio.
In a spoiler alert, the WRKD Wrestling Twitter account informed that The Bloodline and Judgment Day will have a confrontation, possibly with Rey Mysterio in the mix which will also set up a match between the WWE Hall of Famer and Solo Sikoa.
Following the Raw after WrestleMania 39 episode, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. claimed on his podcast that top WWE Superstar Seth Rollins walked out of the show after his segment was scrapped at the very last minute.
Then Rollins didn’t appear on last week’s Raw which fueled up speculations about him leaving the WWE. In reality, the absence could have happened due to several wrestlers facing travel issues while arriving for the April 10 episode.
WRKD Wrestling squashed rumours around Rollins by claiming that the former Universal Champion has no plans to leave the WWE. Plus, WWE itself has announced that The Visionary will be on this week’s Raw to compete in a match against WrestleMania 39 host The Miz.
