WWE Raw: Spoiler on Ronda Rousey after shocking betrayal at Money in the Bank

After brutally assaulting the multi-time women’s champion, Baszler left the match. This resulted in Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez double-teaming on Ronda and easily pinning her to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Following this happening, it’s a no-brainer that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler will be engaged in a singles feud on the Raw brand to possibly culminate in a big match at SummerSlam 2023 edition.

Originally, this turn-on was planned for a later date so that a Wrestlemania encounter could be arranged between the two. But it’s Ronda Rousey’s unavailability that forced the creative plans to be preponed.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that this feud between the two former UFC fighters was always the plan. It was noted that The Baddest Woman on the Planet doesn’t have much time left in WWE.

The report also informed that Ronda gave a date to the WWE Officials about her departure. But being a fan of Baszler’s works, she wants to put over the former NXT Women’s Champion on her way out of the company.

“The deal is Ronda has a hard-out, you know, I mean she gave a date, “This is my last date,” because I remember talking to somebody there and it’s like, well, you know, I know they’re gonna do this.”

It’s also been reminded that the on-screen pairing of Ronda and Shayna materialized in the first place since they were destined to enter a feud. So this turn-on from the latter one at Money in the Bank wasn’t a quick change in plans.

Originally, the two former MMA Four-Horsewomen buddies were planned to win the tag team titles at Wrestlemania 39 in Hollywood. But things didn’t pan out like that due to Ronda suffering an arm injury before the show.

The two eventually returned to TV in May and won the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Being on a rampage, they also unified those titles with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles, two weeks later to create history.

However, Meltzer already revealed during this timespan that Ronda was again scheduled to go into a hiatus. Going by the current situation, the top WWE Raw Superstar is seemingly ready for another hiatus, this summer.
