Heading into this week’s Raw, Becky Lynch was scheduled to be in a rematch with Zoey Stark with the stipulation stating that if Lynch lost again, she would have to tattoo “Thank You Trish” on her chest.
On the flip side, a SummerSlam opportunity was also looming for Lynch over the much-anticipated match against Stratus if she could have secured a win. Thankfully, for the WWE Universe, it was the second condition that prevailed.
Over on Raw, Becky Lynch defeated Zoey Stark despite Trish Stratus trying to interfere in the match. After downing the WWE Hall of Famer off the apron, Lynch Manhandle slamm-ed Stark for the pin-fall win.
As a result, THE MAN vs. the self-proclaimed “Greatest of All Time” will go down at SummerSlam in a rematch. Previously, at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, Stark’s interferences helped Stratus to escape with a win over Lynch.
At SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre is looking forward to being the one to end the historic reign of Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER. On Raw, Drew laid down the challenge for the title match which was officially announced by the WWE.
Drew made his return to WWE programming at WWE Money in the Bank earlier this month and confronted GUNTHER after a successful title defense against Riddle. This was Drew’s first appearance since WrestleMania 39 where he failed to win the IC Title in a Triple Threat.
GUNTHER has been the reigning Intercontinental Champion since last year’s June and is closing in to claim the longest reign with the belt which is currently held by the WWE Hall of Famer Honky Tonk Man.
Also, on Raw, Ricochet came to the ring to remind Logan Paul about his challenge to him for a match at SummerSlam 2023. Logan attacked Ricochet from behind, and then accepted the challenge, going live on Social Media from his phone.
Ricochet soon got back to his feet and laid out Logan with a Superkick to end the segment after which WWE officially announced this incredibly promising matchup between the two high-flyers for the Biggest Event of the Summer.
The 2023 WWE SummerSlam premium live event takes place Saturday, August 5 at the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The confirmed match card for the PLE following this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw goes as follows:
