The 26-year-old wrestler – whose real name is Patrick Clark – appeared for the company on its NXT brand until he was released in May 2021 following backlash after being accused of having inappropriate online conversations with and sending inappropriate photographs to underage fans, which he has vehemently denied.
On August 20, Clark was arrested by Orlando Police for charges of first degree battery and trespassing on property after a warning, which are both first degree misdemeanors.
He was released the following day after paying the $1,200 bond, and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was set for an arraignment hearing on September 28, but the hearing has since been cancelled, while Clark was arrested for a second time on August 26, this time for an out of county warrant for ‘possession of drug paraphernalia’.
He is currently being held at Orange County Jail in Orlando, Florida.
Before his WWE release, the company said they investigated allegations involving minors, with then-NXT boss Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque noting they ‘found nothing’, while Clark himself has always maintained his innocence.
At the time of the initial allegations in 2020, he tweeted: ‘Be assured I did not communicate inappropriately with anyone. A private photo of mine was shared without my consent or knowledge and I am working with a third party to look into this matter.’
These allegations resurfaced two months later during the #SpeakingOut movement, and Clark’s appearances on TV became sporadic, but Levesque said they weren’t the reason for his absence, instead pointing to the aftermath of a car crash.
He told CBS Sports later that summer: ‘You know, in this day today, accusations are made and you take them all very seriously. You look into them the best you can, and you find out what is there and what isn’t.
‘In the moment, all this other stuff happens and you look into it and you find that there is a situation that people bring to everyone’s attention, you look into it and find that it is what it is and there’s nothing there.’
