Yash Dayal, who featured recently for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023 and infamously conceded five sixes in an over to Rinku Singh, shared a cartoon image aimed at the Muslim community over the Love Jihad controversy.
The cartoon depicted a Muslim man hiding a dagger at his back and proposing to a blindfolded woman while a dead body of a woman with Sakshi written on her back is lying below.
The cartoon also showed tombstones of random girls with bloodstone in it. The post, however, was soon deleted by the cricketer but was on air for enough time for others to be shared on Twitter.
Yash Dayal’s post came as a bit of a shock as the pacer had several Muslim teammates at Gujarat Titans, including senior Indian pacer Mohammad Shami and Afghan spinners Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad. Yash Dayal plays domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh and have Muslim teammates in Aqib Khan and Sameer Rizvi.
We take a look at some of the Tweets criticising Yash Dayal for his distasteful Instagram post:
I’m not surprised. I have already seen failed cricketers and actors practicing Islamophobia merely to further their political careers. Rinku Singh has already concluded his career, and now Yash Dayal is seeking a position within a political party. pic.twitter.com/CBdjSwyJ7w

A @BCCI Uttar Pradesh and @gujarat_titans player, Yash Dayal, posted this on Instagram. He has since deleted it.
– No action against him?
– Hasn’t he let down his Muslim teammates?
– How does team management work out with a bigoted individual in a team sport? pic.twitter.com/Q4WeYO7XqD— Abhishek Baxi (@baxiabhishek) June 5, 2023
The fact that even being part of cosmopolitan tournament like #IPL (where you meet players of different religion and culture) likes of #YashDayal have not shun their bigotry tells you how much hatred has got ingrained in the pyche of society. @BCCI do the right thing.

Instagram story by @gujarat_titans player Yash Dayal who was hit for 5 sixes in an over by Rinku Singh and was crying. Imagine the outrage if same communal motivated story would have been shared by his fellow team player @MdShami11 or by someone like @mdsirajofficial . pic.twitter.com/RFfedO3GQU

This is Instagram story of Cricketer Yash Dayal.
When he got smashed by 5 sixes in 5 balls, I felt bad for him. guess I still need to learn to stop being sympathetic towards non-Muslim atheletes and celebrities. Until I know what’s in their hearts. #SadaHuaSamaaj @IrfanPathan pic.twitter.com/WXejMhz2Mn— Jokerrr (@jokerrr2_0) June 5, 2023
Hatemonger. Islamophobist.
Shame!
All are same. #YashDayal #Islamophobia #HateSpeech pic.twitter.com/mQUEzovD4Z— ???????????????????? ???????????????? (@the_ansar_) June 5, 2023
I wish Rinku needed 30+ to chase in the final over bowled by bigot Yash Dayal so that he could have hit 6 sixes. That bigot has not only let down the whole community but also his immediate GT teammates in Shami, Rashid & Noor.

He is Yash Dayal, GT bowler.
He plays with bowlers like shami, Rashid and Noor Ahmad for GT.
In IPL 2023, when KKR needed 29 runs in last over, Rinku singh smashed him for 5 consecutive sixes.
Today He has posted this Instagram story on his account.

Yash Dayal, a left-arm medium pacer, played five games for Gujarat Titans during the IPL 2023 season and took two wickets. He was at the receiving end of Rinku Singh’s onslaught as the KKR batter shot him for five sixes while chasing down 30 runs in a league stage game at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Dayal was expected to feature in the IPL playoffs for Gujarat Titans as Hardik Pandya wasn’t bowling. However, an injury sidelined the pacer, allowing Darshan Nalkande to make a rare appearance for the side in a losing cause to Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1.
The 25-year-old pacer fared better in the IPL 2022 season as he took 11 wickets in nine appearances for Gujarat Titans, who went on to win the title in their maiden season.
