Sargun Kaur Luthra plays the leading lady of one of the highest TRP-rated shows on Star Plus, Yeh Hai Chahatein in which she essays the role of Dr. Preesha. She has been portraying the character of Dr. Preesha for over three years, which now has become a prominent part of people’s lives. Readers may recall that before she bagged this role of a lifetime, the actress also essayed a key role in season 1 of the thriller show Kaal Bhairav Rahasya which aired on Life OK. Recalling her first shooting experience, Sargun remembered what it was like to face the camera and how she had to shoot the scenes with Iqbal Khan.

Reminiscing about her first shooting experience for Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, Sargun Kaur Luthra said “I still remember my first day at the sets of my debut show Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, I was very nervous. I was supposed to shoot in front of Iqbal Khan and I had seen him in Funtoosh when I was a kid so I was very intimidated. I just uttered my lines, as I couldn’t think of anything else.” For the uninitiated, Iqbal Khan gained fame as a television star with the popular Ekta Kapoor show Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai opposite Neha Bamb which aired on Sony TV in 2006. The actor also has done Bollywood films and is currently playing the lead role in the Star Bharat show Na Umra Ki Seema Ho.
In fact, in the same breath, the actress revealed the time when she realized that acting was her true calling. “I was never interested in studies during my college days so I opted out of college and started taking Spanish classes. At that time my mother asked me if I was interested in acting and the entertainment industry and that’s how I started building interest in acting and started my acting career,” explained the actress.
Yeh Hai Chahatein features Sargun Kaur Luthra opposite Abrar Qazi who plays the role of Rockstar Rudraksh Khurana. It airs on Star Plus at 10:30 pm from Monday to Saturday and the episodes are also available on Disney+Hotstar.
