I recently rounded up the vacation shopping items I’m manifesting into my suitcase for a future getaway, so clearly, I have travel on my mind. I’ve also been thinking about adding some new swimsuits into my closet. There are so many cool pieces that have already dropped on the market for 2022, and I’m bringing you some of my favorites. While it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where swimsuit trends are headed this year, there are some cool themes already popping onto my radar.
Floss swimsuits are having a moment, with even thinner, more minimal straps than we saw last year. Throwback styles are also gaining traction. Chanel notably debuted ’90s-inspired swimwear on its S/S 22 runway, so I’m expecting to see even more retro pieces as we get closer to summer. It also comes as no surprise that there are so many vibrant colors since that is one of the major trends for spring 2022.
