Charleston has long been the darling of the country’s food scene — thanks in part to Charleston Wine + Food, which has been drawing locals, frequent visitors, and first-timers to The Holy City since the annual event was founded in 2005.

The festival is back in 2023, running March 1st through 5th. And while March may seem far away, tickets to the ever-popular food fest always sell out. So now’s the time to secure your tickets and make sure that, come March, you’ll be there to experience the famous Southern hospitality, balmy weather, and world-renowned culinary scene that Charleston has to offer.

Culinary Village

Sip, sample, and savor a smorgasbord of Lowcountry classics, along with a bevy of spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks at the Culinary Village — the cornerstone of the festival. Favorites like the Beer Garden, Corkyard, and Artisan Market will all be back this year, and there’s also a revamped lineup that includes interactive chef demos and new areas to sample all the amazing eats.

The World of ‘Cue

Held on the lawn of Firefly Distillery, this event explores the art of barbeque beyond the American South. Sample BBQ flavors from around the globe, washed down with wine, spirits, and ice-cold beer.

The Bold + The Barreled

Catch a classic Charleston sunset while sipping barrel-aged whiskeys and wines paired with indulgent bites at this afternoon event at Founders Hall.

Hip Hops: The Remix

Toast to the perfect trifecta of great music, food, and libations at this ultimate house party at Music Farm, a popular concert venue just off King Street.

El Barrio

Travel to the Caribbean Islands and Central and South America via this celebration of Latinx food + culture, held at Holy City Brewing.

Island Time

Island-hop through the Caribbean with spirits, island-inspired cocktails, and authentic cooking from a crew of chefs with deep Caribbean roots.

It’s A Park Party

Grab bites straight off the grill and sip natural wines and an array of fermented beverages at this backyard-style cookout in Hampton Park.

Cocktail Queens

Break out the sequins and stilettos for the return of this outrageously fun and glam cocktail party hosted by drag artists.

Wine in the Sand

Learn what makes the sun-soaked wines of the Mediterranean so unique, and what pairs with them best, with this wine workshop held at Iron Rose Bar & Restaurant. The event is hosted by a trio of wine experts: Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos of Morgado do Quintão winery in Portugal, sommelier Vonda Freeman of Charleston’s Indigo Road Hospitality Group, and wine writer (and Forbes contributor) Lauren Mowery of Decanter magazine.

Kamayan Night

Experience the communal-style Filipinx feast known as Kamayan (which is Tagalog for “by hand”) at this singular event. Thanks to three leaders in Filipinx-American cuisine — Nikko Cagalanan, Paolo Dungca, and Silver Cousler — diners will taste a vibrant array of foods that are traditionally served on banana leaves and eaten without utensils.

Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint Signature Dinner

Head over the Ashley River to James Island to tuck into a West Tennessee-style whole hog BBQ feast, complete with natural wines and live music, at Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint.

Bubbles + Buckets

Talk about “Sunday funday!” This popular returning event shows just how elevated soul food can be. Head to Hampton Park for an unbeatable brunch time pairing of sparkling wine and timeless southern staples like fried chicken and collards.

Wild, Wild West

Explore the uncharted wine regions of the west with a six flight tasting of whites and reds at Stems & Skins.

Gingerline Cocktail Brunch

You’re invited to a boozy brunch at Gingerline, the tropical retreat in Charleston’s historic district. Guests will enjoy dishes inspired by local favorites (including Executive Chef Taylor Cunningham’s famous chicken + waffles) paired with delicious Latin Caribbean cocktails.

Funnels of Flavor

Feeling nostalgic for the state fair funnel cakes of your youth? Learn how to upgrade them at home with this hands-on class at the Culinary Institute of Charleston. Paola Velez, co-founder of Bakers Against Racism and Doña Dona, will share how to make her version of the fried dough favorite with the flavors of coquito, the popular Puerto Rican cocktail made with rum, coconut milk, and warming spices.
