“It is with profound sadness that I report my dear, sweet wife, Linda Weide, of blessed memory, passed away on Christmas Day,” he tweeted.
“My tribute to her in the L.A. Times only scratches the surface. If you click on the attached, please read to the end. You would have loved her.”

Weide detailed her life before they met and their 28 years together before lovingly paying homage to his “brave,” “timeless,” elegant Queen.
“She had it all – beauty, style, grace, intelligence, wit, a great laugh, a blinding smile and (can I say this in 2023?) legs that demanded to be shown off, and were.”
He also recalled her soft spot for animals, and described her as being “remarkably low maintenance.”
“They say, ‘Nothing lasts forever,’ but they didn’t know about my love for her. 28 years wasn’t nearly long enough,” he wrote. “Still, I may just be the luckiest SOB who ever lived.”

He concluded: “Rest well, Bunnie. I hope we’ll be together again. For those who never knew her, I’m sorry for your loss.”

While many people reached out to Weide, showing their support and thanking him for sharing his story, he did receive messages from some who didn’t appreciate his words.
“Honestly, this obit makes me glad I’m not married to this guy,” one woman tweeted before referring to Weide’s comments about his late wife’s “low maintenance,” legs and “always putting others’ needs before herself.”
The hater added: “Dude, I’m sorry for your loss, but you are the patriarchy writ very large.”

Weide replied: “Don’t worry. I assure you there’s no chance you’ll ever be married to this guy. Cheers.”
The Emmy winner added a pre-Valentine’s Day post alongside a photo of him and Linda.
“Posting this a day early because I’m back on the ‘Curb’ set on Tuesday,” he tweeted. “But Happy Valentine’s Day from Linda Weide and her husband. Hold your Baby tight tonight and let them know you mean it. xo”
