Welcome to January, Scorpio, and a happy new year to you (and your stinger). During December, thanks to the influence of romantic Venus, you united pleasure and intimacy through intense love-making with a partner or connecting with yourself through a sex toy, hot bath (or both). You are considered a highly sexual sign, but that doesn’t fully do you justice. You tend to be good at anything involving passion, and your intensity often gets you mistaken for a fire sign. But you are a sensitive water sign, even if you do have a stinger. As a result, you operate best when you feel grounded. This month, when Venus enters Aquarius and your 4th House of Home and Family on Monday, January 2, your focus turns to curating calm on the homefront. This transit sees you making up with a roommate, moving in with family, or discussing living together with a partner. Whatever your unique situation, remember that your goal is establishing peace. 

This theme continues when Friday, January 6, brings a powerful full moon in caring Cancer and your 9th House of Philosophy. You’re rethinking some of your priorities, Scorpio. If last year felt too chaotic, one of your 2023 missions is to continue to work on grounding. And the early days of January are ideal for that. When one of your ruling planets, Mars, ends its retrograde on Thursday, January 12, you get wrapped up in an exciting work project, hobby, or new romance. Shortly after, the sun enters Aquarius on Friday, January 20. Aquarius is a sign often associated with the community and humanitarian efforts.
