YSL Attorney Calls ‘Cap’ On Judge in Young Thug RICO Case

On Monday, YSL attorney Justin Hill attended the court hearing where defense attorneys presented motions for Judge Glanville to remove certain evidence in the YSL RICO case.

Hill called “cap” on the judge after not making a formal assertion for the session started.

A video circulated on social media of the conversation between Hill and Judge Glanville.

“So, I will start by saying that this assertion that I did not pre-argument,” Hill said before Glanville cut him off. “Don’t worry about that, okay? Because I’d have to do it anyway. So, don’t even worry about that.”

“I was saying that it is not true. It’s cap, to be honest,” Hill defended.

The jury’s decision has been ongoing into its fourth month with “hundreds of potential jurors have been summoned, many have requested hardship deferrals, which the judge has approved,” per FOX 5 Atlanta.

Legal specialists say that the YSL case is complicated and will be prolonged. The final decision could take nearly a year or more.

The next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19th at 2 p.m.

Young Thug, whose legal name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was jailed nearly a year ago on an 88-page RICO indictment for the “conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and participation in criminal street gang activity,” per Complex.

This news comes after one of the 14 YSL defendants, Jayden Myrick, was placed under mental health evaluation after absurd comments of allegedly receiving legal advice from President Joe Biden and ex-President Donald Trump.

As he requested to represent himself in court, he stated, “I’m not the regular inmate, I be with Joe Biden and Donald Trump, and they be talking to me,” Myrick said. “Donald Trump is going to get me out.”

As the court session proceeded, they learned that Myrick was not taking his prescribed anti-psychotic medicine. “I don’t need the medication,” he said.

His sentence can be severed if he is named unfit due to mental health issues. Myrick is serving a life sentence for the murder of D.C. resident Christian Broder in 2018.
